Not all tank vents perform in the same way. The lower-cost manufacturers do not individually test production vents for leakage or flow test for capacity to API2000. Is it worth buying a cheap vent with inferior quality when it’s fitted to a £1m plus process? Is there a price on the health and safety of the environment, your staff and neighbours? Fitting quality vents that are serviced regularly will pay back far more than the initial savings made on cheap devices.

Wherever you buy your vents from, always ask for an individual leakage test certificate to API2000. A batch certificate of conformance for multiple devices is not good enough. At Assentech, we are specialists in tank venting and minimizing product/ nitrogen loss.
